What large print changes on a Sudoku
It changes whether you can see the work. A six-up sheet is economical and a newspaper grid is smaller still, often under five millimetres a cell. At that size a candidate mark is a guess at your own handwriting. Large print spends the whole page on one grid so the digit, the corner marks and the 3×3 boxes are all readable without leaning in.
The audience for that is not only “older readers”, though they are the ones who search the phrase. Anyone copying a puzzle off a phone, anyone teaching the game, anyone working in a dim room — they all want the same physical fact: a cell big enough that a 2 and a 7 cannot be confused once the pencil has been over the page for an hour.
This is a blank grid, not a generated puzzle. Large-print editions elsewhere usually mean a booklet of already-filled clues at a bigger type size. The job here is the sheet itself: you bring the clues, we give you the paper they will actually fit on.
How big the squares come out
One grid on A4, after a twelve-millimetre margin, lands around twenty-five millimetres a square. That is larger than the four-up sheet and much larger than six-up. There is leftover margin for a note about which puzzle this is, or for a short chain of reasoning you do not want to hold in your head.
The print stylesheet keeps a single column and hides the rest of the site, so the browser cannot scale the grid down to make room for a header it was told to hide. What you see in the print preview is the sheet. If the preview shows a second blank page, something else on the machine is adding a margin; the CSS here does not.
Box borders print as real black, not a light grey economy mode can drop. On a large grid that is the only thing keeping the nine boxes visible as boxes. Lose it and you are solving eighty-one loose squares.
When one grid is the right number
When the puzzle will take more than one sitting. A hard grid left on a kitchen table overnight is still there in the morning, with the candidates still legible, which is not true of a six-up sheet that has been folded around a mug.
When you are copying from a book or a screen for someone else. The clues transfer once, at a size they can mark, and you are not asking them to work at newspaper scale because that was the only printout in the house.

Is this a large-print Sudoku puzzle or just a bigger empty grid?
An empty grid. You copy the clues on. The squares are about 25 mm so the marks stay readable; it is not a daily puzzle booklet.

Can I print more than one large grid at a time?
Raise the count in the box if you want extra sheets. Each grid still prints at large-print size; they will not shrink back to six-up unless you switch pages.
